National School Counseling Week

National School Counseling Week is Feb. 6-10, and this year’s theme is “School Counseling: Helping Students Realize Their Potential.” The theme will highlight the tremendous impact school counselors have in helping students achieve academic and career success.

As Tennessee prepares to implement the revised Tennessee model of school counseling (here), National School Counseling Week is a great time to recognize the hard work of our state’s more than 2,300 school counselors and to partner with them to increase the impact of their work for all students. The American School Counselor Association has a variety of resources and ideas (here) to help celebrate this week.
