2016-17 Assessment Calendars


Kingsport City Schools has separated their 2016-17 Assessment Calendars into three levels - elementary, middle, and high school.


Each calendar outlines the test, testing window, grade levels, purpose and use, and the manner in which parents are informed of results. Any questions may be directed to Michael Hubbard, the Director of Performance Excellence.

 State Testing


TNReady is the state’s new and improved TCAP test for English/ Language Arts and Mathematics in grades 3-11. The new assessments are designed to assess true student understanding of the current state standards. In addition, we have included some helpful resources that may assist in understanding the new assessments. The resources are listed with a brief summary of their contents.

  1. Parent Guide to Being TNReady- the guide is designed to provide details on the test format, testing time frames, results, and student supports.
  2. Parent Guide to TNReady Supports for Students with Disabilities- the guide provides an overview of accommodations and how to select the best accommodations for testing.
