Dobyns-Bennett High School, Kingsport,TN:   Coach Cary Daniels
In 2002 the Indians finished 4th in Region 1-AAA, 3rd in District 1-AAA, 2nd in Big 7 Conference.  Their overall record was 55-30-2.  The Indians tied for 2nd in the 2002 Farmers & Miners and tied for 4th in the 2002 Morristown Invitational.  Jake Bateman, Ryan Martin, & Preston Marshall are the top returning players for the Tribe.  Jake  & Ryan made the All-Big 7 Conference team.

Science Hill High School, Johnson City, TN:   Coach Mike Poe
In 2002 the Toppers finished finished 2nd in Region 1-AAA, District 1-AAA Champions, & Big 7 Champions.   The Toppers also won the 2002 Farmers & Miners Invitational Tournament.  They won the 2003 Morristown Invitational.  Brad Robinson is their top returning player. 

Tennessee High School, Bristol, TN:   Coach Bob Zeiger
In 2002 the Vikings were Big 6 Champions and they finished 4th in the District 1-AAA tournament.  TC Baker tied for 1st place in Region 1-AAA tournament.  He lost in a playoff.  He finished 20th in the TSSAA State Championship. Micah Chappell qualified for Region 1-AAA Tournament.

St. Xavier High School, Louisville, KY:     Coach Marty Donlon
In 2002 the Tigers were the Kentucky State Champions.  Their score of 584 broke the team record.  
They set the low scoring record in the 2002 McDonald's Tournament of Champions with a 7-under par 281.  Michael Haverfield & Matt Savage return. Michael is the defending McDonald's Individual Champion.  Matt tied for 2nd in the KY State tournament.  Coach Donlon was elected to the KHSAA Hall of Fame this year.  He has coached golf for 40 years & his teams have won 16 State Championships.  His record in that time is 1165 - 61.

Clarksville High School, Clarksville, TN:   Coach Ronnie Fuqua
In 2002 the Wildcats were the TSSAA Class AAA State Champions.  Included in their 46-11 record were championships in Region 5-AAA and the  District 10-AAA tournaments.  James Brannen tied for 10th in the state tournament and he won the individual championships for the Region 5-AAA & District 10-AAA tournaments.  Ryna Fisher tied for 10th in the state tournament & he place 3rd in the region.  Alan Reece tied for 6th in the state tournament & placed 5th in the region.  All 3 players return.

St. Anthony High School, Effingham, IL:   Coach Phil Zaccari
In 2002 the Bulldogs were the IHSA Class A State Champions.   They have won the state 2 years in a row.  Their record was 23-1 and they won their 4th straight IHSA Sectionals and 6th straight IHSA Regionals.  They were Windsor Invitational Champions, Bloomington Central Catholic Champions, D.A. Weibring Invitational runner-up, & Macomb Invitational runner-up.  They return 5 of their top 7 players.  Mike Imburgia won the Individual State Champion for the 2nd year in a row.  Matt Imburgia won the Sectional Championship.  Jake Niebrugge finished 11th in the state tournament.

McCallie High School, Chattanooga, TN:     Coach John Rogers
In 2002 the Blue Tornado's were the TSSAA Division II State Champions.  They were runnerup's in the Region Tournament, Black Creek Prep Invitational, City Prep.  Matt Hawkins, Adam Mitchell, David Poss, & Kyle Fessler are the top returning players.

Baylor High School, Chattanooga, TN:     Coach King Oehmig
In 2002 the Red Raiders were the TSSAA Division II State runner-ups.  They won the Region Championship and the Black Creek Prep Invitational.  They tied the low scoring record in the 2002 McDonald's Tournament of Champions with a 7-under par 281.  John Barnett finished 7th in the state.

Jefferson County High School, Dandrige, TN:   Coach David Noonkesser
In 2002 the Patroits placed 3rd in the TSSAA State Tournament.  They were Champions in the Region 1-AAA & District 2-AAA.  They return 5 of their top 6 players from last season.   Jonathan Hodge & Peter Malnati are their top returning players.  Jonathan won the TJGA State Junior Championship this summer.Peter tied for 13th in thestate tournament.

Farragut High School, Knoxville, TN:     Coach Mike Driver
In 2002 the Admirals placed 4th in the TSSAA State Tournament.  Brandon Bunn & Corey Lien are the top returning players.   Brandon, a sophomore, won the 2002 Morristown Invitational and placed 2nd in the District 4-AAA Tournament.  Corey tied for 16th in the state tournament.

Covington Catholic High School, Park Hills, KY:     Coach Rick Hornsby
In 2002 the Colonels placed 2nd in the Kentucky State Tournament.  They shot 611.  THey were Regionla & Conference Champions.  They were runner-up's in the KIT Invitational, the Pikeville Invitational, & the Taylor County Invitational.  They have 5 players returning from last year's team.  Jay Sutton, Alex Rechtin, Greg Turcotte, Eric Severson, Alex Volpenhein.  Their most famous alumni is PGA Tour Winner Steve Flesch.


Cathedral Prep School, Erie PA:   Coach Ron Coleman

In 2002 the Ramblers had an 11-0 match record.  They were District 10 Team Champions, Metro League Champions, Warren Invitational Champions, Rough Rider Invitational Champions, Hudson Fall Classic Champions.  John Calabrese won the
Hudson Fall Classic and placed 2nd in the Warren Invitational.  Pat Kloecker was the Rough Rider Invitational Champion & Sonny Kupniewski won the Franklin Invitational.

Soddy-Daisy High School, Chattanooga, TN:   Coach Jon George
In 2002 the Trojans won the District 6-AAA Championship for the 3rd year in a row.  Their regular season record was 10-3.  They placed 2nd in the Region tournament.  Tripp Harris won the District 6-AAA Championship, Caleb Wimpee had a 36 scoring average, Derek Rende was the Chattanooga Jr. Champion, & Austin Stanley placed 2nd in  the District 6-AAA tournament.

Webb High School, Knoxville, TN:   Coach David Youngblood

In 2002 the Spartans won the Morristown Invitational.

Woodberry Forest School, Woodberry Forest, VA:     Coach Marc A. Hogan
In 2002 the Tigers were the Virginia Prep League State Champions.  There top returning player is Will Strickler, who was medalist in the league tournament.
