Introducing the Dobyns-Bennett High School Specialty License Plate

This will be a legal, registered Tennessee specialty license plate that can be renewed each year. This is not a decorative or novelty plate. The funds raised through your purchase of the Dobyns-Bennett High School specialty license plate will directly benefit Kingsport City Schools middle school athletic programs at John Sevier Middle School and Ross N. Robinson Middle School.

Take note:
  • The Dobyns-Bennett High School specialty license plates have NOT been produced yet. In order to have approval by the State of Tennessee to start production, we need a minimum of 1,000 pre-ordered plates first.
  • The cost of the Dobyns-Bennett High School specialty license plate is $35 (plus processing fee) in addition to your regular vehicle registration fee. This is a non-refundable fee that covers the specialty license plate surcharge only.
  • Once we surpass the minimum requirement of 1,000 pre-ordered specialty license plates, production time is expected to be 4-6 months before the specialty license plates will be shipped to your county clerk's office for pick-up. You will be notified upon arrival.
  • Each year, you can renew your Dobyns-Bennett High School specialty license plate along with your vehicle registration.
