This video shows actions that you can take at home to help protect yourself and others from getting sick. Nonpharmaceutical Interventions or NPIs are actions, apart from getting vaccinated and taking medicine, that people and communities can take to help slow the spread of illnesses like flu.

let's face it life can get pretty busy and you don't have time to be sick in addition to getting vaccinated if you can help fight this Blue by consistently and correctly practicing a few simple healthy habits getting vaccinated is the best way to prevent the flu in a Venus available each year for seasonal flu there also are actions that you can take to help protect yourself and others from getting sick flu symptoms can include fever the chills coughing a sore throat a runny nose body aches headaches and feel I'm tired some children may have vomiting and diarrhea if you have some or all of these symptoms stay home except to get medical care if you needed stop and try to avoid being in close contact with others by keeping your distance you're helping to protect your family friends and co-workers from getting sick too  always cover your coughs and sneezes But be sure to do it correctly  covering your nose and mouth with a tissue works best touch your dirty tissue in the trash when you're done and remember to wash or sanitize your hands afterwards if it's issue isn't handy you can use your sleeve to cover nose and mouth  wash your hands often with soap and water also helps to keep you from getting sick when washing be sure to scrub your hands all over the backs of hands under nails and between fingers  it's open water are not available it's okay to use alcohol-based sanitizer of course it home it's important to keep frequently touch objects and surfaces as clean as possible especially when someone is sick don't forget to clean the refrigerator door TV remote door knobs toys and other places where germs tend to linger and can cause illness to remove germs you can wipe down surfaces with a soap and water mixture of bleach and water solution or epa-approved products be sure to follow the directions on product labels by taking these actions you'll be doing your part to help keep your household protected blue so home is a healthy place to live
