Join WCSK Radio for a brand new "Big Band Hour" show. Produced and hosted by Harry Haines, III, of Kingsport, TN, the "Big Band Hour" is designed to introduce a new generation to the sound of the legendary (and not so legendary) ‘big bands’. Original recordings spanning from the 1920s to 1950s are presented on the show along with modern interpretations. In addition, unique and one of a kind performances are sought out to delight listeners with their measured beauty and exceptional musical techniques.
The program is produced right here in Kingsport, Tennessee for WCSK.
The producer has been involved in the recording arts and sciences, radio broadcasting since age 11 and is an active amateur radio operator holding an extra class license. Having also worked with a few country, rock bands, NHL and NFL but chose another full time career path and finished his career with Hewlett-Packard in Houston.
