2024-25 Extracurricular Activities

Per Tennessee Code Annotated 49-6-1031, parents or legal guardians shall be notified of all clubs and organizations available to KCS students.  The list shall include:
  • The names of the clubs and organizations, including any abbreviations or acronyms;
  • The mission and purpose of the clubs and organizations; and 
  • All financial requirements associated with membership in the club or organizations.
 
A school shall not allow a minor student to become a member of a club or organization, or allow a minor student to participate in any activity of a club or organization, unless the student's parent or legal guardian first provides consent to the student's membership or participation in a dated, written consent.

All dance abilities are welcome to audition!

Fees are approximately $400 but fundraising efforts are held to offset costs.  Fees cover uniforms and practice attire, poms, choreography,and studio rental.

D-B Dramahawks Mission Statement The Dobyns-Bennett Theater Department is dedicated to the development of communication skills as well as leadership skills, service opportunities, creativity, self- expression, discipline, commitment, and dedication to hard work and excellence.

IV. What does it cost? Students are required to attend all tournaments. Students are required to compete in three events during most tournaments. The cost is based on the amount due for each tournament fee, team apparel items and hotel costs. The students are also responsible for their own lunch and dinner (if applicable) at the tournaments. If a student has to miss a tournament due to an extreme situation, then that student must make it up. See Ms. Humphrey for more details on making a tournament up. Yearly fees are approximately 300-500 dollars in total cost (30-50 per month), but the more money we raise (production revenue), the less we will need to pay in tournament fees. Please do not let finances keep your child from attending a tournament. We often have extra money or donations in the general fund to take care of the expense.
