Kingsport City Schools and City of Kingsport to Host a Community Information and Feedback Session for New Elementary School

KINGSPORT, Tenn. – Kingsport City Schools (KCS) and the City of Kingsport will host a community information and feedback session regarding the new KCS elementary school to be constructed on the current Lynn View Community Center site. The information and feedback session will take place in the Lynn View Community Center cafeteria, 257 Walker Street, Kingsport, on Thursday, February 5, 2026 from 6-7:30 p.m.
 
This community information and feedback session will allow for community members to speak directly with representatives from Kingsport City Schools and the City of Kingsport on three major design aspects: 1) Design philosophy, details, and operational functionality of the proposed school building; 2) Site development, including road improvements, infrastructure, and utilities; 3) Grounds/Recreation, including potential design features such as playfields and walking path on the property surrounding the school building. 
 
School and City representatives will be available to speak one-on-one with community members throughout the duration of the event. No appointment is necessary. Community members are encouraged to arrive at any time during this drop-in event. An opportunity to provide feedback will be provided.
