School-Aged Childcare (SACC) provides a safe, supportive environment for children before and after school. These tuition-based programs offer structured activities, homework assistance, and opportunities for social and recreational engagement for Kindergarten - Grade 5.
Designed to accommodate working families, school-aged childcare ensures children are well cared for in a nurturing space that fosters learning, creativity, and personal growth. SACC operates on-site at select elementary school locations, providing convenience and peace of mind for KCS families.

SACC Hours of Operation
Monday - Friday
3 - 6 p.m.*
*Late Fees: The SACC closes at 6 p.m. daily. Please pick up your child on time. Late pickups require signing a form and incur a $10 fee for the first five minutes per child. After 6:05 p.m., an additional $2 per minute, per child applies. Three or more late fees in three months will result in a meeting with the director, and unresolved issues may lead to assistance in finding a more suitable program.
Take note: If Kingsport City Schools are closed or dismiss early due to inclement weather, all ECLC students will follow elementary school dismissal times. Click for school hours and inclement weather information.
SACC Tuition Rates
Tuition rates for all Kingsport City Schools SACC locations are the same. Families can choose either a 10-month or 12-month option of childcare.
2025-26 Tuition:
4-5 days a week: $220 per month
3-days a week: $190 per month
2-days a week: $130 per month
1-day a week: $65 per month
Drop-in for registered KCS students (only): $20 per day
Materials and Transportation Fees for all ages: $175 per year
