The goal of the DBHS Creative Writing Club is to provide a welcoming space for writers to discuss, share, and create. In meetings, you will have resources for learning your craft, entering writing contests, sharing your work, workshopping your work, and having the chance to be published in DB's own digital literary magazine, Impressions. Our club is best for those who enjoy writing lyrics, screenplays, poetry, fiction, nonfiction, short stories, chapter books, and/or graphic novels. Furthermore, Impressions also publishes original student artwork and photography. |

IV. What does it cost? Students are required to attend all tournaments. Students are required to compete in three events during most tournaments. The cost is based on the amount due for each tournament fee, team apparel items and hotel costs. The students are also responsible for their own lunch and dinner (if applicable) at the tournaments. If a student has to miss a tournament due to an extreme situation, then that student must make it up. See Ms. Humphrey for more details on making a tournament up. Yearly fees are approximately 300-500 dollars in total cost (30-50 per month), but the more money we raise (production revenue), the less we will need to pay in tournament fees. Please do not let finances keep your child from attending a tournament. We often have extra money or donations in the general fund to take care of the expense. |
