Kingsport City Schools supports student success through a dedicated Student Health Services Department, with a Registered Nurse in every school. Our 21 full-time nurses and one supervisor provide daily health care - both routine and emergency - for students, staff, and visitors.

School nurses collaborate with families, healthcare providers, and the community to address health needs and promote wellness. They serve as vital links between schools and community health resources, helping students and staff access care. By managing direct services and connecting individuals to providers, our nurses help ensure the physical and emotional well-being of the entire school community.
