Special Education is not a location, rather it is a set of specifically designed services to help your child reach their maximum potential. More than 1,500 students in Kingsport City Schools benefit from some form of Special Education support & services each year. When families work together with educators and specialists, it can significantly increase a child’s educational outcomes. Student programming and services are individualized to meet the unique needs of each student.  Parental involvement in the development, as well as the implementation of the individualized program is critical.
