The Foundation is organized to further the growth and development of Kingsport City Schools (KCS) through charitable fundraising for the promotion and advancement of KCS. It serves to encourage individuals and corporations to provide financial support for KCS and to receive, accept, retain, administer, invest, and distribute resources for the benefit of KCS in accordance with the wishes of donors to further the purpose of the Foundation and KCS.

Those wishing to donate to the Foundation may contribute cash (single gift or on an annual basis for a specific number of years), transfer stock or other personal or real property of value, life insurance, wills of interested individuals, or by transfer or conveyance of any present or future interest in property in trust, or otherwise. The contributions received may be provided for the support of a specific project by the donor(s), or unrestricted to any specific project or projects, but given to the foundation for allocation to suitable projects in the discretion of the Board. Funds will be used to support students, staff, or programs, pending approval by the Board or its Executive Committee.

The schools are our most valuable asset and we appreciate the support of every community member who allows us to continue to improve educational opportunities for our local students. Through your donation, you become a partner with us in ensuring that our Kingsport City Schools students are given every opportunity to achieve and be their very best.

Business Partnerships

Partnering with the KCS Foundation is a great way to support our schools. Outstanding schools help strengthen the entire community, including the business community. Business partners gain the satisfaction of knowing they’ve done their part in contributing to the success of our outstanding schools and, as a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, your donations are also tax deductible.
