Jim Wernke, Robinson Middle School Assistant Principal, has been named a fellow for the 2017 cohort of the Governor’s Academy for School Leadership, on behalf of the partnership between Governor Haslam’s office, Vanderbilt University, and the Tennessee Department of Education.

DBHS Band made the finals in the Bands of America Grand National Championship Finals Saturday night for the first time in the history of the school; placing 13th.

The called meeting will be held on November 15, 2016 at 6 p.m. in the Tennessee Room at the KCS Administrative Support Center.

The DBHS football program was awarded the Region 1 6A Ralph Stout Sportsmanship Award by the Region 1 Officials Association.

Jefferson Elementary, Robinson Middle School and Dobyns-Bennett High School will be on a 2-hour delay today, November 1 due to a power outage. Students already on buses are being returned home or will be brought back to school and supervised.
