Meal Prices & Payments

MEAL INFORMATION

KCS qualifies for breakfast and lunch at no cost regardless of socioeconomic status (and without completing a free or reduced-priced meals application) thanks to the KCS Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program. Click here for FAQ. 
 
The items that make up the five food components of the school meal are:
  • One item from the protein group
  • One to two items from the vegetable group
  • One to two items from the fruit group (high school students can select two fruit servings)
  • One item from the bread/grain group
  • One item from the milk group

MEAL PRICES

Prices below indicate the cost for a student meal beyond the no-cost meal provided via the KCS CEP program. There will still be a charge for ice cream, a la carte items, snack items, and extra food items (seconds).
  • No charging will be allowed for the purchase of ala carte items or additional/extra meals.
Employee and and non-staff will be required to pay the price as listed.

OUTSIDE FOOD AND BEVERAGES

Please do not bring food or beverages to your child from any outside eating establishment. Food delivery services to students are not allowed. Due to school safety protocols and health concerns and in consultation with the KCS Safety Task Force, visitors are not allowed inside school cafeterias during meal times.

PAYMENTS

Visit your app store and find “LINQ Connect” available in the Google Play Store and the Apple Store to enjoy these features. Just log in with your existing username and password. If you use a browser, visit LINQConnect.com to log in.
 
LINQ Connect allows you to set up one time or recurring payments for your student’s meal. You can also view previous transactions, set spending limits, transfer funds between students, set low balance notifications, and more. It’s an easy way to manage meal payments without the hassle of sending cash.
