Uploaded Jul 10, 2020Based on the work of the Kingsport City Schools Compensation Committee, KCS will implement a new teacher salary scale starting with the 2020-21 School Year. Videos have been prepared to help explain the overall formation and transition process, as well as to provide a detailed explanation of your individual salary situation.

A - Entering the new salary scale at a step higher than your actual years-of-experience
B - Entering the new salary scale on the step equaling your years-of-experience
C - Entering the new salary scale at a step lower than your actual years-of-experience

He's done a great job explaining and showing how KCS determines the three opening scenarios (green, yellow, red) based on the TN Department of Health's Epi Curve numbers. KCS and the Sullivan County Regional Health Department look at Sullivan County numbers based on the "average case rate of new COVID-19 cases per 100,000 Sullivan County residents over the last 14 days."
